Critical to our customers is the dedicated employees who come to work every day to deliver results on their behalf. Employee engagement executed right increases an organization’s productivity, performance, alignment to goals, and job satisfaction. The Worldwide Revenue Operations (WWRO) organization is looking for a high-judgment, customer-obsessed, creative and results driven person to work closely with Strategic Communications, Human Resources, and Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) stakeholders to define, deliver, and operationalize the organization’s strategy for building inclusive, high-performance teams. This role offers the opportunity to influence team strategy and execution in organizational effectiveness and excellence through employee engagement and culture.

Key job responsibilities

The primary job responsibilities of an Engagement and Culture Manager are to improve internal customer engagement by leading culture projects, driving adoption of culture and engagement programs, and helping solve problems related to the employee experience. This role is pivotal in forging strong relationships with key stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Program manage and execute organization-wide employee engagement and culture initiatives, including new hire onboarding, coffee chats, roundtables, townhalls, and specific culture programs;

• Drive awareness, adoption and implementation of ID&E and culture programs to grow presence, leveraging data and insights;

• Influence and align multiple stakeholders, define project plans, assemble resources, manage implementation activities and logistics, and develop all processes associated with program roll-out and ongoing support;

• Use strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends to identify opportunities, and initiatives for improvement and impact to the employee experience;

• Build trust, influence, and credibility with a matrixed set of global stakeholders;

• Influence and partner with cross functional working teams, including both HR and business team members, to launch on-time, effective employee programs;

• Exhibit strong communication skills and instincts with stakeholders at all levels delivering concise and effective messages to a variety of audiences with the right detail and timing;

• Build feedback mechanisms into employee engagement activities, enabling employees to have an opportunity for two-way dialogue.

A day in the life

In this role, you will contribute to the WWRO vision, products, and tools as we work towards our mission to enable the AWS field organization to be the most efficient and effective in the world. You are a diverse, passionate, and influential person who will design, deploy, and maintain engagement initiatives that produce an impactful employee experience at all levels in the organization. You will develop and own organizational programs and activities that foster an inclusive culture and build a reputation for WWRO to be a great place to work. The programs and activities include, but are not limited to, the WWRO onboarding experience, WWRO marketing and recruiting events and campaigns, WWRO employee sentiment, and WWRO ID&E workstreams focused on attracting, developing and retaining talent from underrepresented communities and customer, community, and partner engagement.
