About the Team

 

The Safety, Environment and Regulation(SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

 

The Regulatory Operations branch within SER has the Regulatory Systems and Technology Team where the Enforcement Adjudication Unit is positioned. This unit collaborates with partners to adjudicate road-related offences, including-NSW Police, Revenue NSW and Local Councils. It is responsible for leading adjudication of certain camera-detected offences and heavy vehicle fatigue-related offences, issuing infringement notices and court attendance notices and preparing briefs of evidence to support prosecutions and appeals.

 

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for an Enforcement Information Assistant whose responsibility is to provide administrative and support services to facilitate the preparation of appeal matters to be heard before the NSW Local Court within the Brief Handling Unit team within Regulatory Operations.

 

The Briefs of Evidence you will be processing will be specifically for Appeals to which TfNSW is the respondent.

About you

 

We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills, strong administrative and clerical skills and a good eye for detail with the ability to read and interpret legislation.

 

This is a high volume environment with tight time constraints so you must be able to prioritise and manage your time well, while being professional, helpful and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

 

Ideally you will have a knowledge of court and brief preparation processes including all the relevant documentation required which you will collate by researching and accessing a variety of systems and liaising with both internal and external TfNSW stakeholders.

 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is USS Grade 4 ($72,686 - $78,511) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
