Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic innovative clinician to take leadership responsibility for the Endoscopy service at West Midlands Hospital. We are looking for an individual who will support our business growth and enhance our patient experience. The role of Team Leader for this area will ensure that services are Caring, Safe, Effective, Responsive and Well led. Our aim is to grow activity and ensure quality care delivery.

You will:

  • Develop own knowledge and skills and develop others, carrying out appraisals and supporting the team.
  • Further develop the services, in turn grow activity.
  • Assist with research and development.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Ensure a safe effective governance framework which meets national regulations and enables compliance to Ramsay Polices.
  • Support the Theatre and Endoscopy Manager in leading a workforce by blending people into teams and fostering a positive, yet a challenging culture.
  • Be a clear, logical and persuasive communicator across various audiences.
  • Provides clear direction and fosters positive attitudes in the workplace.
  • Take responsibility for guiding and directing others to achieve goals

Skills

You will need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with patients and health professionals
  • Teamwork skills
  • Effective management and leadership skills
  • New business development skills


Essential for the post:

  • Registered General Nurse
  • Immediate Life Support
  • Knowledge of decontamination in the Endoscopy environment
  • Knowledge of JAG accreditation and ensure yearly renewal.
  • Diploma/degree in a health related subject
  • Strong leadership and Management Experience
  • Significant exposure in a senior role to external stakeholders such as Consultants, Physicians, Allied Health professionals, patients and suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance

The successful applicant will be able to evidence previous leadership experience and passion to deliver a safe service He/she will have a clear commitment to support the development and commercial success of the business by demonstrating efficient team working and excellent communication/interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
