Employment Coordinator

They are seeking a vibrant person who excels in building and maintaining effective relationships with employers. As the Employment Coordinator, you will enjoy a challenging role which requires building positive attitudes and self-esteem by removing blocks and opening people up to infinite possibilities. You will support people with experience of mental illness or other disability to be involved in the community and reach their personal goals related to employment and/or training. You will work closely with individuals, family/whanau and clinicians, networking with community services, and employers.

You will need to hit the ground running and demonstrate our vision and values.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with networking in the community and engaging with employers
• Experience with supporting people in employment
• A qualification in NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Mental Health & Addiction Support Strand (Level 4) or be willing to work towards this
• Or a qualification in Supported Employment, Career Guidance or Social Science or related discipline
• Demonstrate strength-based practice
• Innovative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent relationship building and group facilitation skills
• Communicate in a compassionately assertive way ‘see it say it’
• Strong computer and report writing skills
• Willingness to go above and beyond
• Must have a full clean drivers licence

The position is for 37.5 hours per week, immediate start available
