About this role
This job enables BT to deliver on its purpose. This role manages the delivery of critical core and edge network build programmes across the UK, underpinning 5G, FTTP/C and core capacity growth, as well as multi-compaction programmes in line with our business goal to reduce our legacy footprint and reduce cost. In addition, manages delivery of multiple maintenance programmes to ensure that the electronics platform is both compliant performing optimally.
This role provides the central coordination and management to the operational areas and is key in ensuring we comply with all business obligations, compliance, service and customer programmes across t5he electronics estate.
You'll have the following responsibilities
You will lead and motivate a team, building a growth mindset, through development and coaching, this team is responsible for the effective delivery of critical projects utilising our field engineering partners to ensure priority work is completed in line with forecasts, the role involves complex stakeholder management to balance often conflicting demands for the best business outcome.
you will design and build plans, and manage delivery for a number of strategically imperative customer programmes and critical infrastructure across electronics, including 5G, FTTP, FTTC and core capacity growth.
You will be accountable for designing, building and delivering plans through Regional Managers and engineers, and enabling compliance and health & safety activities, delivery to time and budget, and management of prioritisation of work to meet critical business needs.
you will be accountable for balancing complex and ever-evolving delivery plans, making sensible, commercial decisions to support service performance and mitigate risk, taking into account core work, escalations and insourced work.
You will own, manage, continually review and improve the processes and procedures required to be followed to deliver field operations Electronics delivery plans.
You will own complex enablement performance: Identify performance concerns and lead the team to undertake structured problem solving to continuously improve performance, whilst reviewing and influencing senior stakeholders to understand upstream and downstream issues, and solutions required to deliver plan.
Build and maintain relationships, across all appropriate lines of business (Engineering Services, Enterprise, Openreach, external third parties), and negotiate and develop outcome-driven solutions.
You will manage delivery expectations within engineering services and implement and communicate the appropriate KPIs to achieve this.
