About us
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions. The Division
The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions. 
The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for an Education Officer to join us in the Freight Communication and Education Unit.
This role is responsible for identifying and designing education and awareness tools for a variety of internal and external audiences to assist in the delivery of improved freight outcomes in NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the creation of something new and to play an integral part in lifting the profile for freight.
What you will be involved in
The purpose of the role is to identify and design education and awareness tools for a variety of internal and external audiences to assist in the delivery of improved freight outcomes in NSW.
The position will take charge of the full lifecycle of capacity building projects within the branch; asses the needs, provide recommendations, calculate and secure budgets, obtain the resources and develop and maintain the education framework.
You will create a wide range of educational resources to fill the gap between knowledge and understanding to ensure the movement of goods is a core consideration within the transport system.
You will develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand the broader needs and identify education tools and resources to deliver Branch outcomes.
About you
You have tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline.
You have demonstrated communications experience in developing, implementing and evaluating education and engagement plans and programs. You have an education background and an understanding of how people learn and absorb information.
You have the ability to work collaboratively and use your excellent communication and engagement skills to proactively build strong relationships with an array of internal and external stakeholders.
You’re proactive and use your initiative and attention to detail to get things done and resolve issues independently.
You are flexible and possess the ability to adapt to a changing and sometimes uncertain environment. 
You have experience working in teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 7 ($106,086 - $118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
