About this role

Education Technology is one of the UK’s fastest growing sectors (+22% YoY) and is expected to reach £3.4bn by 2021.

We’ve brought different functional teams together; from sales, marketing, commercial, product and propositions to form our Education Team.  You would be part of this cohesive team with all the right support around you to be successful.  We work closely together, specifically dedicated to the Education sector to help schools and colleges with their needs and aspirations around IT products & services, security, voice, connectivity and mobile.

As a school I want to be able to digitally enable my teaching staff to be able to deliver high class teaching.

 As a parent I want to be able to track and support my child's learning journey so that they get the best possible results in ways that suit them.

As a teacher I want my students to be able to learn effectively both inside and outside of the classroom so that I can track their progress in real time.

As a student I want to be able to complete and upload homework from anywhere and be taught with all of the tools I will need so that I am ready for my future digital career.

As a BT Education colleague, you will work passionately, innovatively and tirelessly to support these wants.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Generating education sales by developing strong business and customer relations.

Finding and developing leads and opportunities in education.

Retaining and managing customer churn.

Knowledgeable in BTs education offering and able to advise schools and colleges on the most appropriate solution.

To deliver profitable growth and increase BTs market share in the education market.

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Knowledge of IT hardware and software products and services [I’ve changed the order to show this first within the skills section]

Experience in the education sector [I’ve changed the order to show this secondly within the skills section]

Using CRM sales tools such as ERP systems and Salesforce to record data.

Team player – working within a team to deliver BT’s education strategy

Desk-based selling experience & target achievement

Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word and Excel

High level of written and verbal communications
