Job Description

Our son is 11 years old and we would like an edu-playmate for him. This role involves being one on one with him and engaging him in different fun activities like reading, playing with toys, bouncing on the trampoline, going to the playground, and improvised games. It is mostly playing with a touch of education.

Some childcare experience is an advantage, but no qualification is required; studying psychology or childcare is preferred, but the most important thing is that you are passionate about working with children. Our boy is continuing to develop his communication skills and is not verbally fluent but understands so we are looking for someone who is patient and caring. We are looking for 2 candidates who can alternate shifts, to ensure that all shifts are covered. 

Available shifts:

• 9:30 AM - 1PM, Weekend Morning shift. (Saturday & Sunday)
• 3:30PM - 7:30PM, All week afternoon shift.(Monday - Sunday)
• You can choose on which days you would like to work.
• Between 15-30 hours available

We are flexible and can offer short-term or long-term work, but we are looking for someone who is available to start immediately.  You must be able to commit to some of the hours listed above.

Ideally, we would like someone who lives close to Remuera or has reliable transport to get to and from work. We also require someone with strong English skills for teach our son to improve his speech and communication skills.
