Based in Patumahoe, Rural South Auckland, we are industry leaders in Kiwifruit and innovation.  We are currently in a growth phase and are looking for two new people to join our EDI team. Work for a company that truly values its people!

EDI stands for Electronic Data Inventory.  Working as part of the EDI a team, you’ll be

• Making sure our fruit is traceable by:
  • monitoring the application of labels and Pallet Cards, 
  • setting up the correct grower to be packed and managing grower changes
• Performing random inspections on pallets to check they are accurate
• Monitoring the temperature and humidly of fruit at export by using temperature loggers
• Highcubing - adding additional packs to a completed pallet and changing its properties to fit more fruit per pallet into a container

We’re after someone who genuinely cares about getting it right.  You’ll have:

• A high attention to detail
• Good computer skills, with the desire to learn new systems
• A good level of fitness and be able to move class 3 bins with the electric pallet jack
• A good command of English and the ability to community well with your team
• A positive attitude, and willingness to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work longer hours during the season (March to June)
• Experience in a production line is ideal, but not essential

One of the fun things about Horticulture is no two seasons are the same and you’ll get lots of variation.  During our Kiwifruit Packing season (March to June) you’ll work on one of our three shifts: Morning (5am – 2pm), Afternoon (2pm – 10pm) or Night (10pm to 6am) shifts.  The rest of the time you will work standard business hours.

Situated in Rural Patumahoe, South Auckland, Punchbowl is a leading Packhouse and Coolstore facility. We provide packing and cool storage for Red, Green and Gold Kiwifruit, packing approximately 4 million trays of kiwifruit and 25 tonnes of blueberries annually.

We employ approximately 100 permanent staff and more than 250 seasonal staff to help our packhouse meet production demands and operate 24/7 during the kiwifruit harvest season of March through to June.
