The Haven Nursery is a 47 place setting, in the heart of the city offering quality and affordable childcare to all families. The nursery layout offers quality care and education with separate rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school age children, as well as a sensory room and large rooftop garden space.

Our Early Years Practitioners are pivotal to our success and you will join a team committed to ensuring the safety, learning, well-being and happiness of every child who attends the setting.

You are a creative team player with initiative, motivation and drive to ensure that we provide our children with structured and well thought out activities in line with Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. You will have experience of working with children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.

You will have a good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety, and you will be comfortable working with other professionals and local schools to support our children and their families.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children aged between 0-5 years
• A good understanding of child development
• Good knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene
• An understanding of the mission of The Salvation Army
