Our District Managers are high-profile driven individuals, who oversee all operational aspects of about 6 restaurants each. We seek more of a coach than an auditor-type, who also has well-rounded business know-how. Our District Managers guide and support each restaurant’s management to implement the BK policies and processes, and ensure that standards are understood and met. Regular restaurant KPI reports are used to positively reinforce all that’s going well and also to focus on improvement areas. This role reports to a highly experienced and supportive Operations Manager.
Fast-food is an action-packed environment, where there are weekly changes which can occur in any area, such as: safety, product, quality, supply, property / equipment, and people changes. Sometimes it can seem that these challenges can all happen at once ! So when issues arise, we expect decisive leaders who ‘calm the farm’ and get things sorted. You are ready with an immediate fix, or you rely on your relationships o ‘connect the dots’. You know how to find the right fix-it person and then see it through.
To succeed in this busy role, you can juggle many tasks at once, whilst still maintaining a structure to your day. You need to be one-step ahead of what’s coming up, and can clearly communicate the plans and your expectations. You’ve learnt from experience how to building your managers' skills and you back them up to make decisions. You can do this by sharing knowledge/ideas and recognising progress and effort.

You’re down-to-earth and relatable. Just like our Restaurant Managers, you’ll normally work in the field from Tuesday and Saturday and will always need to be available on mobile, based on the operational needs of the District. Daily travel around Auckland is required. In return you will be given a company car, medical insurance and be eligible for an annual incentive.
