The opportunity

As our Distribution Operations Manager, you will own the current and future state distribution relationships and operations and oversee fleet, 3PL services, procurement, demand planning and continuous improvement of products and related CSD consumables. You will create synergies with our Group Procurement team to create alignment of all contracts within, and to develop wider procurement opportunities for, Customer Service Delivery (CSD).

Part of our newly created Strategic Contracts and Relationships team (SC&R), you will be surrounded by passionate colleagues who deliver best value through strategic contracts, supplier management and contractor relationships, and support centres of excellence for contractor management. As a highly valued leader in the SC&R team, you will help shape and drive our strategies and plans to create something better for each other at NZ Post, our customers and Aotearoa.

Who are we looking for?

We know the key to your success will be your experience running an end to end supply chain operation, and your background in a 3PL environment. You'll be known for your commercial nous, with a deep understanding of operational finance models and success measures. Essentially you will also be a visionary leader who brings innovative and creative solutions and champions continuous improvement and new ways of working.

Your success will be supported by an experienced GM with a consultative, transparent style who places huge value on new ideas and creating growth and opportunities for the team to bring their best every day.
