We have partnered with a national moving company in their search for a Dispatch Coordinator for their facility in the Vancouver area. If you have leadership experience, there is the option of a title change and some additional responsibility.
You'll be working from Wednesday to Sunday, and here is what you'll be doing:
• Front line interfacing with customers to receive and schedule moving and delivery service
• Manage service coordination and crew
• Troubleshoot, when needed, when variations occur during the delivery/pick up plan
• Comply with the company’s maintenance policies, procedures, and training
• Assist with the hiring process including interviews and offers, when required
• Comply with Safety Management System (SMS) procedures
• Provide visible and felt health & safety
• Assist with administration duties as directed by the Dispatch Manager
What you'll need:
• Previous dispatch experience is preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in an administrative capacity focusing on coordinating multiple items and tasks at one time
• Minimum 1 year of entry-level management experience is required (managing people, schedules, hours, etc.)
• A strong understanding of transportation regulations and standards, or willingness to learn
• Previous experience with safety compliance
