We are looking for a Commodity Supply Manager to join the Tier 2 Supply Chain Team within Cloud Sourcing and Supply Chain (CSSC) Organization. This position will be responsible for the fulfilment of commodities such as CPU/DIMM/SSD/HDD/GPU in support of building out Microsoft’s data center and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead Spares Supply management team responsible for spares supply management for Microsoft cloud.
• Work with various suppliers on spares processes design and establish inputs and output for the spares parts eco system.
• Responsible for spares metrics including days of supply, E&O, shortages within lead time and inventory exposure at each supplier to improve performance.
• Define inventory buffer targets (in conjunction with Component Planning) and strategies based on historical usage and forecast.
• Define financial risk/liability associated with said buffers and the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp of new platforms.
• Meets regularly with assigned suppliers to review forecast, capture supply commitments, and publish internally.
• Review all PO’s placed by MSFT for production spares to assure compliance and supportability against our 3PL inventory positioning.
• Review priorities between production and spares to create allocation plans for constrained materials.
• Act as primary liaison between spares operations team and Spares sourcing team.
• Develop processes and tools to support allocations between parties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing supply planning or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management or engineering 

Preferred Qualifications

• Capable of performing complex data analysis to identify problems or opportunities to improve supply chain performance
• Strong knowledge of inventory management process and logistics, including metrics and analytics
• Experience managing inventory and material movement through a 3rd party logistics provider
• Ability to coach mentor and develop talent
• Hire and scale existing organization
• Strong Exceutive communication and presentation
