Role Responsibility

This is a rarely available, high profile opportunity to champion creative talent, both internally and externally, and work with key industry stakeholders in developing the BBCs relationship with the UK creative sector.

Within this role you will be responsible for developing talent strategies and initiatives in partnership with internal teams, including the Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner, wider HR team and Creative Diversity Unit to ensure a strong pipeline of commissioner and production talent, in line with the BBC’s wider objectives around creative diversity, plurality of supply and across the UK.

You will maintain a range of internal and external relationships, and oversee and develop our engagement with industry and production partners.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this opportunity as Director of Talent and Creative Partnerships should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of developing and managing strategic business initiatives
  • Ability to think strategically, to impart a vision at all levels and implement a strategy effectively
  • Thorough understanding of the way in which programmes are commissioned  and produced
  • An in-depth understanding of the broadcasting market and the opportunities and challenges this presents
  • A large industry network
