Our client is a not-for profit organisation providing aged care, independent living and respite care.

About the role

Our client is looking to appoint a Director of Nursing to their aged care facility based an hour and a half Southeast of Adelaide.

Key responsibilities include: 

Manage the selection, rostering, development, and performance management of care staff

Lead the accurate and timely completion of reporting and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies and procedures

Ensure the facility functions in line with Residential Aged Care quality standards, legislation, and best practice guidelines

Drive the continuous quality improvement program

Develop and review clinical policies and procedures

Foster positive relationships with residents and their families

Promote a positive team environment

Identification and management of risks

Management of the clinical budget

To be successful in the role you will have:

Bachelor of Nursing

Current AHPRA registration

Demonstrated experience in a similar role within aged care

Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies and procedures

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience leading a team

National Police and NDIS clearances

Flu vaccination and Covid vaccinations
