Job Description

 We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.

Currently the CO+I Datacenter Construction & Delivery (DCD) team is seeking an individual to lead our Americas datacenter Integration & Technical Infrastructure Management Team, which is a diverse and high performing team that is responsible for the delivery of datacenter colo fit-out (telecom, electrical, and mechanical support systems) as well as system integration activities within all Microsoft owned and leased datacenter facilities, within North and South America.

 

The Regional ITIM Director will be responsible for managing the overall regional program delivery, ensuring alignment with both organizational and business priorities and commitments with a focused emphasis on delivering capacity Safely, Ethically, Reliably, and Predictably.

Responsibilities

  • Create a diverse and inclusive team environment that fosters and supports innovation, learning, and collaboration aligning with Microsoft values and culture.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and direction, ensuring the highest performance and quality within our AMERS delivery program.
  • Establish, manage, and measure against all regional commitments and performance targets (Safety, Quality, Schedule, & Cost).
  • Define regional metrics that ensure everyone is working towards the same goals and commitments as well as promotes success criteria, learning, and growth opportunities for all team members.
  • Ensure that all team members understand objectives and work together to achieve regional and project level goals/commitments.
  • Coordinate closely with regional program stakeholders and datacenter operations teams to foster alignment and partnerships for business continuity and overall team success.
  • Assist and communicate accordingly with Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team any regional program delivery challenges or issues.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of expereince leading highly technical, engineering or construction focused teams, or similar management/field experience.
  • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, construction management or similar field experience.
  • PMP and/or BICSI RCDD certifications preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction designs and specifications.
  • Experience in managing large scale enterprise programs made up of both localized and remote teams.
  • Collaborator and influencer with proven track record of driving successful participation and execution of cross-functional team initiatives.
  • Must be able to work within a dynamic team of full-time employees, vendors and consultants.
  • Have the ability to use data to influence and drive decision making efforts.
  • Executive leadership & communication (written and verbal) skills are a must.
