We are looking for a seasoned Digital Marketer to join the Event and Digital Marketing Team within our broader marketing organization (CMO)
The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) leads Integrated Marketing excellence for Germany.With a broad view of the business, CMO focuses on acquiring new customers, driving usage and consumption of Microsoft’s Cloud Services, and delivering fans and advocates across segments and channels. The CMO partners with Redmond headquarters to ensure a connected customer experience in alignment with global strategies and local business needs. With marketing excellence and deep discipline expertise in Digital and Experiential Marketing and Analytics, the CMO supports commercial and consumer businesses and solution areas. CMO uses global content and assets, focuses local marketing investments in alignment with customer buying scenarios, and leverages Global Demand Centers (GDC) and Global Engagement Programs (GEPs) for positive customer experiences.
This position contributes to Microsoft’s success and inspires the German Marketing team to make Microsoft one of the most engaging, thoughtful, and innovative brands in digital marketing. This role manages and oversees the local Social Command Center and has extensive knowledge of social platforms along with how social channels can be optimized with high-quality content to create best-in-class experiences that drive greater customer engagement. The Digital Marketing Manager is a leader versed in the commercial (focus) and consumer businesses to help Microsoft grow our social engagement and footprint for the subsidiary.
The Digital Marketing Manager helps teams to take a customer-centric approach to social engagement programs. This role sets goals for social marketing and develops organizational capability based on business priorities and customer needs. The Digital Marketing Manager leads overall development, oversight and approval of local social marketing plans and content, with an emphasis on setting strategic goals, defining key tactical frameworks, and following global social processes and brand guidance for all CMO social channels.
Besides working with the local leadership team, the Digital Marketing Manager’s professional partnerships and network extends to Microsoft’s Headquarters digital and social marketing leaders to amplify the impact of global content investments. This role leads the subsidiary to smartly maximize marketing investments by using global content and services to deliver a consistent customer experience.
In partnership with our Integrated Marketing Team, the Digital Marketing Manager has a positive impact on the communication of our events, both generating the right attendees for specific events as well as advising internal stakeholders on the optimal social media channels to use, based on previous experience, best practices and projected ROI analyses.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner and rapid adopter of leading practices from other field peers across the globe, and a courageous leader skilled in both managing the Area Social Command Center to execute on global strategy and champion effective marketing integration and social marketing operations to drive positive business outcomes. This role works in a highly matrixed organization, and an industry that requires a combination of Modern Marketing know-how, Social Marketing leadership and global programs adoption for the greater cause—all coming together to deliver the customer experience.

Responsibilities
Lead and orchestrate the social media strategy, with a holistic approach in close cooperation with our Communications and Integrated Marketing Teams.
Focus on optimized Event Marketing using all analytics tools and facts to reach the right audience in the proposed numbers.
As a business consultant, you advise the event marketeers on which channels they can use to generate the greatest impact with which actions in a cost-optimized manner.
Define and manage the Social Command Center (SCC) business priorities and social strategies to drive positive business value, impact and outcomes via social media activities, leveraging global assets and developing local assets; social campaigns development and amplification; social community management, adhering to global standards; social listening; paid media activities; deriving insights with KPI definition and business impact measurement. Manage local social channel footprint and identify opportunities for consolidation. Ensure brand guidance, as well as global social channel standards and processes adherence, in all CMO social media owned channels. Act as Social Marketing Consultant and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in-house. Responsible and accountable for social budget investment and management.
Closely liaise, align and partner with Corp, CMO Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), global peers in role, agencies of record (AORs) and relevant local stakeholders cross-company, incl. definition and development of best practices and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to test innovative social and digital programs that can scale and build upon work from global or other teams.
Manage local employee social advocacy program in collaboration with the Communications Team to activate sellers and support with relevant content.
Manage local Social Selling Program, finding innovative approaches to connect marketing and sales to deliver results and best-in-class customer experiences.
Qualifications
4-6 years of digital and social marketing strategy development, multi-phase execution and delivery experience for a large brand and/or digital agency with a strong track record taking a strategic, customer-centric and business priorities- and goals-driven approach to social marketing.
Experience in business/marketing analytics & digital marketing and social amplification desired. Understanding of marketing automation concepts and software tools to capture contacts/leads and measure commercial impact of investments.
Strong understanding of current and emerging social and digital marketing platforms, tactics and trends incl. marketing automation.
Budget, agency and vendor management, with ability to evaluate capabilities of agencies and vendors and manage them to obtain optimal business-goals-aligned results.
Executive presence: Ability to engage with CxO audiences, present to large groups and be a spokesperson for Microsoft, internally and externally.
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Business, Marketing or Communications field of study preferred.
Fluent German skills are required
