Role Responsibility
Expand your knowledge of media and audience planning, media strategy or social media, working in teams across BBC Public Services or BBC studios.
Create and execute impactful digital marketing strategies, learning the best ways to engage with different audiences through a range of digital channels.
Use the latest content and campaign marketing techniques to communicate key messages to the right people at the right times.
Work with the BBC’s marketing and social media experts, who’ll coach you to create digital initiatives that help us reach more diverse audiences.
Study for your L6 Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship qualification, awarded by both Manchester Metropolitan University and The Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education, with modules such as:
Principles of Digital Marketing
User Experience
Digital Communications
Key Issues in the Digital Environment
Managing Social Media Practice
Content Marketing
Managing Digital Brands
Measurement and Performance of Digital Marketing
Digital Value Proposition Design
Digital Business Model Design
Digital Communications Campaign Management
This apprenticeship offers the following locations across the UK enabling you to work within distinct areas of our many broadcast and production facilities. You will be required to indicate your preference on the application form.

The Ideal Candidate
To be eligible for an apprenticeship, you must:
Be aged 18 or over when the course starts in September 2022
Have Maths and English GCSEs or Standard Grades (Scotland) at 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent
Level 3 qualifications, such as A-Levels, a BTEC or equivalent
Be legally allowed to work in the UK
Have lived in the UK, Ireland or the European Economic Area (EEA), for at least three years before the start of the apprenticeship. Or have either pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme and lived in the UK, EEA or Gibraltar for at least three years.
We’ll ask you to give examples to show you’re:
Aware of how digital marketing applies to either BBC Public Service or BBC Studios
Comfortable with the practical sides of digital marketing or social media 
Good at communicating with people from different backgrounds and with different skillsets
A strong problem solver
Able to manage your time well
Flexible and resilient
A good team player
Don’t worry if you don’t have an extensive CV. You can share examples of your passion for digital marketing from anywhere. That might be other work experience, your time in education, volunteering - even times you’ve helped your friends and family out with technical issues.
