Purpose of the Role:
As Digital Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for advising and supporting on all digital strategies and projects are fully compliant with all critical regulatory and compliance guidelines.
The Digital Compliance Specialist will partner closely with relevant stakeholders across the Primark business and will be responsible for advising on and reviewing digital programmes and approaches to ensure that the responsible team execute initiatives with full compliance and effectiveness of business processes.
Reporting to the Global Compliance Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to play a role in supporting and advising on the development of a CRM function that does not exist within our organisation today.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Development & Delivery
Advise and support in the development of the overarching CRM strategy, programmes and customer data collection approach which move customer through lifecycle phases.
Advise and support on selection of CRM platform from a customer data compliance perspective and contribute into business requirements
Guide and advise on the data mapping, management, and governance processes with key business partners to develop and implement business processes as needed to support data management within the CRM and related systems.
Maintain requirements for compliance with data protection laws and support senior management in defining actions to support compliance
Manage guidance documentation and related notices and coordinate updates
Prepare and deliver communications and coordinate programme updates
Support key data protection processes for breach management and data subject access requests
Supporting the completion of Data Privacy Impact Assessments for project
Partner with the CRM function to Identify and support the resolution of risks and issues as they arise
Promote awareness across the business of GDPR compliance obligations and advise on procedures and policies
Monitor and understand key trends and issues both internally and externally, and identify opportunities for improvement in processes
Collaboration
Build and maintain effective communication channels CRM teams to ensure all proposed programmes are fully compliant and to monitor all developments in customer data/CRM fields and the relevant impacts to Primark.
Partner with Customer Services team to ensure compliance of all customer data related activities where required
Establish strong working relationships with external agencies. Enable productive working relationships, communicating direction and goals externally to ensure alignment.
Key Interactions as part of this role
Reporting to the Global Compliance Manager , the Digital Compliance Specialist will work collaboratively across all areas of the business. The Digital Compliance Specialist will also be required to partner closely with our CRM team as well as our Customer Service team.

Essential: -
Experience in Data Protection compliance is critical
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate & influence effectively verbally and in writing across all levels as required

Proven ability to make sound judgement calls particularly relating to issues requiring escalation
