Join us as a Digital Banking Innovation Manager

  • We’re looking for someone to lead the definition of new and innovative digital solutions to help the bank achieve its ambitions
  • You’ll be identifying, defining and delivering ground breaking digital experiences to really engage our customers
  • This is an opportunity to lead a team of subject matter experts in all digital customer experiences

What you'll do

In this high-profile role, you’ll be shaping the future of our bank, by identifying new and innovative digital experiences and solving pain points at key moments across the user journey. We’ll look to you to act as the digital representative helping to rapidly prototype and deliver and manage projects through all stages in the cycle including design, build and test.

You’ll be accountable for making sure all deliverables are customer focused, meet the commercial goals of the business and are aligned to our digital strategy.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Leveraging a deep understanding of Innovation frameworks, UX techniques and user-centred design to deliver the best customer experiences
  • Working closely with the relevant functions, ensuring requirements are adhered to and end results meet expectations
  • Collaborating with other channels and owners of detailed processes in other programmes to promote a productive relationship
  • Delivering new customer journeys that drive measurable benefits, working through the full project lifecycle through to go live

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for a digitally and innovative thinker, who has a deep understanding of best practice in Customer Experience and user-centred design. We’d also like to see previous management experience and a working knowledge of banking products and services.You'll also need the ability to assume multiple roles such as digital product owner, scrum master and commercial manager to facilitate delivery, using your initiative, setting own priorities as well as defining and working to deadlines.

You'll need good knowledge of rapid experimentation or prototyping, applying design thinking, Lean principles and Scrum methodologies, along with experience of driving innovation from opportunities through to user testing and defining as well as delivering commercial propositions. You'll also be practiced in determining measures of success, creating delivery roadmaps and producing business cases. You'll be able to think strategically and communicate a customer led digital vision underpinned by insight and technical expertise, to internal and external audiences at all levels.

You’ll also be expected to have:

  • The ability to manage, lead and deliver multiple workstreams or projects in a fast-paced environment with high levels of complexity and ambiguity, requiring timely decision-making
  • Strong commercial acumen with macro and business level awareness, with experience of working with third party agencies and leading cross-functional teams 
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, demonstrating strong business analysis and customer experience or journey design experience, as well as the ability to plan and facilitate workshops to inspire problem-solving
  • Prior experience of delivering and facilitate design and development projects, with a good understanding of software development, digital technologies and underlying infrastructure
  • Knowledge of the latest digital design and development methodologies, techniques and technologies
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage the delivery of agreed scope within allocated time, budget and resource
