About this role

This role is critical to developing the software engineering capabilities required to deliver on our ambition to transform BT and deliver brilliant digital experiences and platforms for BT Enterprise. Acting as an internal technical consultant and working closely with squads across Enterprise Digital, you will help embed DevSecOps practices, enabling us to deliver quickly, frequently, securely, and with high availability.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Work closely with other squads to coach and understand capability needs and common impediments.
• Lead on removing common impediments.
• Keep abreast of new approaches, tooling and practices in areas of expertise.
• Promote learning across Digital Engineering.
• Educate and coach others in DevSecOps practices.

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Strong communicator.
• Expert in one or more of: SRE and DevOps ,App security ,Test automation ,CI / CD ,CMS
• Coaching, facilitating and educating.
• Expert in software engineering and OO design.
• Passion for continuous learning.
• Effectively applying DevSecOps practices as part of a delivery squad.
• Coaching others and sharing knowledge effectively.
• Identifying impediments and capability gaps and affecting positive change.
• Introducing a team to new ideas, practices and tools.
