This role is within Commercial Tech, just one of many families with Sainsbury’s Tech, and our mission is to master Commercial data for the whole Sainsbury’s Group. Commercial Tech is made up of several long lived, cross functional domains each with one or more teams. Our teams are part of an ambitious transformation programme using microservices and event streams to deliver value to our customers.
Tech Stack:
AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake and more. We keep track of everything using Git, Jira & Confluence. You do not need experience with everything in this list!
What you will be doing:
Provide Cloud expertise as part of a cross functional software delivery team(s)
Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Data Engineering Products
Comfortable designing Cloud Native solutions, using best practices and working to continually improve those solutions
Apply your “Automate everything†mindset
Communicate & share technical decisions with non-technical team members and stakeholders.
Working with Agile delivery teams in a fast-paced, DevOps environment
Desirable skills and experience:
Knowledgeable on AWS
Infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
Designing, implementing & maintaining CI/CD pipelines (experience with AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline an advantage)
Understanding of Identify and Access Management and Networking
Understanding of Docker and containerising applications
Knowledge of Linux based systems
Production monitoring & alerting distributed applications at scale
Familiar with a well-architected framework and Serverless solutions
Comfortable being part of a Data Engineering team and working alongside Engineers
