About the team

 

The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.

The Transport Asset Revitalisation Program (TARP) has been established by TfNSW to evaluate and prioritise sites that are no longer needed for transport purposes. It involves extensive collaboration across the TfNSW cluster and with other government agencies.

 

TARP will enable TfNSW to repurpose land no longer needed for transport services to contribute to the financial sustainability of TfNSW, better realise transport, land use and place-making outcomes in line with State and local policy objectives, facilitate the delivery of new and improved transport services in TARP sites and ensure alignment with key state and local government strategies including the Metropolis of Three Cities, Greater Sydney Region Plan; State Infrastructure Strategy 2018-38; Future Transport 2056; and council Local Strategic Planning Statements.

 

 

The opportunity

 

The primary purpose is to lead a team that manages the process to clear sites so they are available for transaction, including managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve competing uses for land and to define and cater for transport requirements in the transaction process. This role also manages internal land transaction processes, including statutory processes needed to create title.

 

Manage the TARP Clearance and Land Titling team and provide leadership for the extended clearance resources across other relevant teams including Spatial Survey, Agency Property Leads and Project Town Planners.

Lead and manage the preparation of project specific Clearance programs.

Drive the Clearance team to ensure Clearance activities are being completed within the reported Clearance program timeframes.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all relevant Clearance stakeholders. This includes the regular coordination of Clearance meetings such as landowner updates, Change Configuration Board (CCB), Station Working Group, and TARP Project Working Group (PWG) meetings.

Ensure appropriate and adequate collaboration is being undertaken within the immediate team to meet Clearance program and proactively address clearance issues (i.e. Project Lead, Transaction Lead, Planning Team, and Survey Team).

Ensure regular Clearance update reports are submitted to Project Leads and Program Director, including the escalation of key issues.

Undertake continual process improvement identify and recommend opportunities to expedite Clearance activities.

About you

 

Tertiary qualifications in a Planning, Design, Environmental, Engineering, Construction or Commercial / Business discipline or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience in project planning and project management.

Experience in the development, management, and improvement of project systems, change management initiatives and implementation of quality assurance processes.
