About this role

We’re passionate about helping businesses harness the power of technology to reach their full potential. Working in the first Mid-Market team in Scotland, you’ll play a key role in identifying and closing new business opportunities across our Scottish base. 

Through building brand new relationships, successfully influencing key decision-makers and forming lasting partnerships, you’ll achieve (and exceed) targets and provide a standout customer experience. You’ll exceed your customers’ expectations by really getting to know their business and transformation roadmap. You’ll develop win plans that showcase how BT & EE’s portfolio best meets your customers’ needs – targets may include customer contact activity and pipeline health, as well as SOV/revenue growth, market share, and customer experience.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Working as part of a team in a desk-based environment to identify new business opportunities.

• Run outbound campaigns using your knowledge of standard products to recommend and deliver solutions.


Specifically in this role:-

• Typically working with SME customers whose needs may be starting to grow in complexity, and who may potentially have multi-site needs, or requirements for multiple products across our business portfolio.

• Responsible for winning new business within a defined account base of Mid-Market prospects to deliver sustainable, profitable new business.  Interactions will be remote in a desk based, inside sales environment.

• Accountable for developing successful, sustainable and profitable relationships with prospects – developing a strong understanding of customer connectivity requirements and business transformation roadmap.

• Achieve and exceed new sales targets, which may include prospect contact activity, pipeline health, SOV/revenue growth, market share, and customer experience.

• Working autonomously across prospects, applying knowledge of our full portfolio to create solutions.

• Develop sales plans to secure and deliver multi-product deals, (mobility, connectivity, and IP voice) – likely to apply offers and discounting within guidelines set for the portfolio.


You'll have the following skills & experience

• Successful track record delivering brilliant sales outcomes for an account base 

• Acquisition and/or new business experience essential through self-dial cold calling.

• Experience with SME or Corporate customers preferrable.

• Experience in a rapid growth business and/or inside sales organisation preferrable.

• Used knowledge of the business to sell, negotiate or persuade.

• Worked alongside colleagues/led team through a period of intense stress and pressure.

• Developed quotes /business cases.

• Developed an internal network of strong working relationships you can call on to assist with your role.
