The Opportunity
Within BT Enterprise, we take a user-centered and iterative approach to digital product design to ensure the best experiences for our customers across their journeys.
This means we step into the shoes of our customers, to understand how they interact with us digitally and what they expect from our products and services.
The Design Lead is a hybrid role and will use logic, imagination, intuition, and holistic reasoning to explore possibilities across both the content and designs within their business unit.
They will closely collaborate with stakeholders across Enterprise, as well as the other design leads, to ensure consistency and continuity of message, reduce friction and improve satisfaction for customer across their journeys.
The successful candidate will also inspire, empower, support and develop their teams to deliver the best results for the business and for the customer.
What you'll be doing
• Manage a team of designers (content and product)
• Represent design & content across digital
• Define the design & content strategies
• Define the department goals
• Build internal strategic relationships across Brand, CX, Digital and Product
• Provide expertise to design and deliver digital experiences for new and existing products and services
• Interpret and inform shared customer journey maps and personas from a digital perspective
• Manage, motivate and mentor a team of design and content professionals
• Oversee the management of resources across squad and tribe plans and priorities
• Evangelise design & content to senior stakeholders and product team to drive the digital maturity of the organisation
• Build external strategic relationships with external partner agencies
• Define the design & content needs across the tribes and squads
Who you are
• Related BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Visual or UI Design, Information Architecture, Web Programming, Journalism, Comms & Media Studies or comparable experience as a senior design practitioner or content manager
• Developing content strategies from customer insight to drive improvement in customer satisfaction metrics
• Knowledge of copywriting
• Worked with design systems and pattern libraries
• Able to express thinking clearly to others when writing, speaking and presenting.
• Led UX/UI design and content teams for digital product, e.g. websites, web applications, mobile apps
• Managed resources sat across multiple squads
• Expertise in stakeholder management
• Developed a team and individuals using OKRs & development plans
