We connect people, communities and industry and manage how they use our road, rail and maritime networks and services, and even active modes like walking and cycling. The work we do connects the journeys you take every day.

We are a state government organisation made up of more than 28,000 people and we're in the middle of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. We work across planning, policy and procurement, harnessing data and technology to develop smarter and more adaptive transport solutions.

That means job opportunities in metropolitan and regional areas right across NSW – you have the chance to be part of creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

The Opportunity

With a number of these projects currently approved and underway, we have a number of opportunities across this exciting and diverse program of work.  We have several immediate requirements and are also looking to build a robust pipeline of high calibre candidates for future requirements.

The role reports to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, depending on the size and scope of the project. This position plays a key role in implementing project management delivery plans and established project management methodologies in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. You will be responsible to implement improvements and innovation and provide advice and input into project management and project development processes including concept design, planning and planning approval, detailed design, tender, construction, commissioning and transitioning.

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to champion a continuous improvement and innovation mindset in a diversified organisation that continues to undergo structural, cultural, and technological change.

About you

To be successful, you will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with a diverse range of complex matters and highly conceptual issues, in order to recommend practical solutions, often within limited time frames.  You will have demonstrated experience dealing with a diverse range of complex matters and managing a range of stakeholders. You will be confident in coordinating both on and off-site resources to support successful project delivery. The successful candidates will have strong problem solving skills, be self-directed in their approach to tasks and able to tackle a wide range of tasks and challenges.
