Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Quality Manager to join us at our Winwick, Warrington depot.

Why Join our Depot Quality Team?

As a business, Evri is driven by our four values of; Do the right thing, Dare to be different, Strive for more and Be customer obsessed. It’s because of these values that we are the UK’s leading consumer delivery service handling over 600 million parcels per year and still growing and this team helps to drive that growth.

Our Depot Quality Manager is responsible for achieving and improving the scanning compliance on all Outbound legs from Depot to Courier and Inbound legs form Final Mile to Hub. You’ll be working closely with Delivery Units (that’s where couriers collect your parcels), Warehouse Managers and Regional Delivery teams and you’ll be responsible for data analysis which identifies the failure point and most importantly delivering the solution to drive the on-time delivery of the parcel.

About the Role:

As our Depot Quality Manager, you will work in a newly created position where you will be responsible for demonstrating a true end of day number of what has been scanned out of your depot, receipt scanned into Sub depots and receipt scanned by couriers.

Day to day you’ll:

  • Know how many parcels show as a deficit in the end of day numbers and work to understand where the parcel gap is and provide the solution to ensure those parcels are recovered and delivered.
  • Identify and provide solutions to fix miss-sorts and misrouted parcels to ensure our customers receive their parcel. By working with your field compliance equivalent and your Process managers, ensure real solutions are embedded and maintained. This will be done daily using core MI systems such as Network Health and OPSOS to identify daily delivery performance to identify root cause for failures.
  • Influence and educate the relevant Process Managers of the solution to implement and review through continuous improvement.
  • Influence and collaborate with the Customer Services team and Regional Compliance Manager to ensure data accuracy, which will identify the driver of claims and enquiries, whilst agreeing and implementing the solution for the operation.
  • Report into your Depot General Manager and work closely with the site Day Shift and Night Shift Manager as well as supporting our Area Compliance Manager to ensure that each region is working in a joined-up fashion.
  • Have Line Management responsibility for our Parcel Resolution Operatives on site.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Lean 6 Sigma or similar experience required
  • Evidence of ability to devise new innovative solutions
  • IOSH Qualified (ideally)
  • Advanced in understanding of Management Information and Excel spreadsheets. Good Ability with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Demonstrate ability to understand cost controls, data reports, MI and KPI metrics.
  • Effective communicator who can engage, motivate and educate at all levels
