Description

Robert Half has been engaged by a client of ours who are in immediate need of a Database Administrator (DBA) for a 3-month contract (option for renewal or flip to permanent), offered remotely. Do you have experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator? Have you worked with legacy MSSQL 2012 and/or 2016 databases? This opportunity might be the contract for you!

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with infrastructure and applications teams to ensure new databases (MSSQL 2019) are created and optimized to transfer over legacy (MSSQL 2012 and 2106) instances
• Collaborate with other DBA's to ensure ETL is done correctly, and efficiently
• Manipulate data as needed to mitigate errors

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience as a Database Administrator with experience migrating large datasets and setting up new instances
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
• Experience with Oracle an asset
