The LBCM Chief Operating Office is looking for a Data Risk & Control Manager to work across the LBCM global business and data landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in, giving the role holder the opportunity to shape, deliver and stand up our LBCM data risk approach and associated activity. The role provides the opportunity to work across different jurisdictions (UK & the Channel Islands, Europe, North America & Asia), across multiple product lines and to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and business units through the Shared Service delivery model.

Within Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM), we're looking for a Data Risk & Control Manager to join us for a 12 month fixed term contract. LBCM is the part of Lloyds Banking Group that houses the non ring fenced bank business and also our international businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, deliver and stand up our LBCM data risk approach and associated activity. You'd work across numerous jurisdictions (UK & the Channel Islands, Europe, North America & Asia), across multiple product lines and have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and business units across the Group through the Shared Service delivery model.
Core Purpose of the Role
• Own the assessment of Data Policy Applicability across LBCM UK & international businesses and review of control applicability.
• Understand the data risk across the LBCM entity drawing out the key risks for LBCM, lead the design of local LBCM owned data related controls and map out and understand relevant Shared Service operated and owned controls, bringing this all together in a single entity view to enable the entity to understand its data risk both at individual business level and at an aggregated entity level.
• Stand up the required reporting to support the monitoring and management of data risk and inform Risk Committee & Executive Committee/Board Reporting.
• Support LBCM to build its Data landscape and detail its data flows in line with Policy.
• Own the Entity level risk discussions in the LBCM Data Council, working collaboratively across the jurisdictions and business areas to create an aggregate LBCM view.
• Day to day management and review of the Data Risks and Controls within the risk system. Analyse and assess Data controls ensuring alignment to Group Data Policy to understand gaps across the LBCM business and the RFB where data is managed through the Shared Service.
Key skills and experience:
Essential
• Experience of risk management
• Strong partnering and stakeholder management skills to engage and collaborate successfully with multiple LBCM jurisdictions and across the Group.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and review information from a range of sources, and formulate clear, workable recommendations/ proposals off the back of analysis.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and a continuous improvement mindset – proven ability in identifying and delivering improvements.
• Lead delivery of risk workstream activity – hands on delivery of activity requiring independent thinking and co-ordinating and supporting delivery through business representatives.
• High level of communication skills with the ability to produce and present written materials that are appropriate for a wide range of stakeholders including senior stakeholder briefings.
Desirable
• Experience of working across different jurisdictions
• Knowledge of data related legislation, regulation requirements and group policy/practices
