• In this senior role, you’ll lead the development of our Commercial and NatWest Markets data engineering capability
• You’ll be responsible for setting and embedding the strategic ambition for adopting new and world class data engineering techniques

What you'll do

You’ll be responsible for driving, leading and developing a team of engineers who deliver data for data scientists and data analysts, enabling real-time insights for our customers.

Your day-to-day deliverables will include:

• Transforming data into a useful format for analysis
• Overseeing and developing new complex data platforms
• Delivering mechanisms for collecting, validating and applying data
• Winning support across the organisation at a senior level, and challenging to make sure that customer data engineering is embedded in all critical customer journeys

The skills you'll need

You’ll demonstrate a genuine passion for data, and enthusiasm for driving a cloud-first engineering agenda. You’ll also bring commercial experience of leveraging emerging technologies to transform the data landscape – preferably using customer data.

Experience in Snowflake would be a real advantage.

You’ll also bring:

• Experience of building, developing and leading high-performing data engineering teams
• A creative approach to dealing with legacy data platforms
• The confidence to interact with, influence and manage senior stakeholders
