About this role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Architect to join one of our following offices, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Ipswich, or London on a permanent basis.
We are looking for someone to become a member of the Data Architecture team. This team forms part of the Data Management function inside the Data, Analytics, and Insight Office (DAIO, for short). The Data Management function is responsible for supporting all of the current data solutions and designing and building new cloud-based data solutions. These solutions are then used across DAIO and the wider Openreach community. We are building our cloud environment best practices, great technology, and solid leadership support to get the job done. Ultimately our team is here to deliver the data that Openreach needs to build the fibre network for the United Kingdom.
This is an exciting time to join us because we are building ultrafast full fibre broadband across the UK and we want to connect millions of customers to that new network.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Own the end to end design of data architecture and end products
Ensure all data solutions designs are appropriately modelled and documented
Monitor and advise on the use of cloud-based solutions and mature them over time
Provide thought leadership for new products and ways of working that deliver business value
You'll have the following skills & experience
Curious of data that flows through applications, databases and environments
Works through puzzles and challenges to provide clarity and visibility
Problems solving with ability to explain the complex
Creativity and outside of the box thinking
