As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organisations, partners and customers. We play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are protected by developing transformation strategies focused on security, efficiently integrate and manage new or existing technology systems to deliver continuous operational improvements and increase their cybersecurity investment, and detect, respond, and remediate threats.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project management and delivery, as required by the scope of specific client engagements, which includes Assessment/Strategy through to the Design, Implementation and Optimization of privacy, data trust and data protection programs, solutions and products.

  • Engagement management, including project planning, budget and resource management

  • Business development activities throughout the entire opportunity lifecycle, including lead generation, opportunity tracking, pre-sales presentations, technical demos, client & engagement risk assessments, bid management, proposal writing, and contract management.

  • Building and developing an engagement plan, defining needed resources and creating the related budget/fee structure

  • Practice development, including work on delivery methodology, training, and sales and marketing materials.

  • Personal professional development as a privacy, data trust and/or data protection subject-matter specialist, including continuous vendor and industry training, attending conferences, and specific products and solutions self-study.

  • Multitasking on multiple projects and tasks with contending priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working with other Cybersecurity & Privacy teams on non privacy and data protection projects as required.

  • Coach and train new and/or more junior team members to become an integral part of the Privacy and Data Protection team, Cybersecurity & Privacy Consulting practice and PwC family.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Experience developing and implementing privacy, data trust, and/or data protection related programs and controls (e.g. privacy strategies, governance, policies, procedures, processes, training, metrics, and reporting).

  • Expertise conducting privacy impact assessments, readiness assessments, and/or risk assessments for programs, projects, or initiatives.

  • Experience designing, deploying, integrating and managing privacy, data management and/or data protection technology (on-premises and/or in the cloud) and help build trust in use of data (e.g. data mapping, notice/consent management, data subject rights management, secure data deletion, de-identification) 

  • Prior Big 4 experience or other consulting experience is a plus.

  • Technical designations:privacy, security and/or project management related technical designations are a plus, such as CIPP, CISSP or PMP.

  • Solid mix of business and technical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical privacy, data trust or data protection issues to senior clients within the context of their business.

  • Proven experience with privacy and data trust frameworks and compliance requirements.

  • Understanding of privacy and data trust trends and issues including their impact to businesses across different industry sectors.

  • A demonstrated understanding of privacy, data trust and/or data protection requirements (legal, regulatory, industry good practices) and experience in practically implementing these requirements for companies.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities including the ability to understand and analyze client data issues amidst the privacy legal/regulatory landscape and provide innovative and practical recommendations and solutions.

  • Ability to be recognized as the subject matter specialist in privacy, data trust and/or data protection.

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
