Cybersecurity and IT Risk Consultant

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Cybersecurity and IT Risk Consultant for a 3 month contract.

Cybersecurity and IT Risk Consultant Job Details

Provide expert advice, design and implementation plan(s) for the Information Technology Risk and Compliance Management (ITRCM) program at the client including but not limited to providing advice and guidance on the following:

1. ITRCM Framework design and components based on industry standards and best practices and as agreed by the project sponsor.
2. IT Process Governance Framework design, components including the development of applicable IT policies and standards as agreed by the project sponsor.

Cybersecurity and IT Risk Consultant Responsibilities

• Using industry and subject matter knowledge, the Consultant will provide guidance, develop and deliver to MPI the following deliverables:
• IT Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks including its governance and operational components.
• IT Risk Assessment methodology.
• IT Risk Taxonomy in the areas of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, application, cloud, projects, and data.
• IT Process Governance Framework including its governance and operational components.
• Security and Technology Program Risk Management Process
• Other deliverables as agreed between the project sponsor and the Consultant.

Cybersecurity and IT Risk Consultant Must Have Skills

Education:

• University degree or two-year college diploma in Computer Science, Business, or similar discipline.
• Completion of one or more of the following Information Security Management professional designations is preferred:
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Other similar information security and IT risk management credentials

Experience:

• Seven years in the IT industry with four years direct technology risk and information security experience including conducting many Threat and Risk Assessments.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong technical, planning, and leadership skills are required.
• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge in related IT and information security practices and risk measures.
• Ability to assess and resolve complex issues and situations through effective decision making.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate to others with all levels of technical competency.
