About this role

Responsible for ensuring security is designed into BT’s future networks and services, the Security Consultant Professional will lead on, and be accountable for, ensuring security assurance is provided to design and implementation of programmes and projects, including Agile. They will be dealing with multiple programmes and projects at any time, leveraging their skills and knowledge to keep BT safe. 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Responsible for providing security advice into the design and delivery of multiple programmes and projects, including Agile, to ensure security-by-design.

Responsible for ensuring driving the assessment, prioritisation and risk assessment of demand into the consultancy team. 

Responsible for working with Security colleagues across the whole department to achieve the right ownership and outcomes for all demand into the team.

Responsible for learning under partial supervision, from a Security Consultant Specialist.

Responsible for developing own knowledge across all domains of security

Responsible for developing an understanding of the corporate structure, our key stakeholders and the way the business works.

Responsible for operating any procedural/process work within the consultancy department and proactively identifying improvements so these can be actioned.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Some background in Security or decent capability in the IT space, not essential

A strong ability work on own initiative, prioritise and manage customer expectations

An ability to demonstrate an open-minded attitude, objectivity and confidence to provide a consultancy-based service
