To make sure BT IT security policy and standards compliance is accurate, understood and improved; to reduce the risk of security breaches and incidents, protecting our reputation and brand and improving customer satisfaction.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering and shaping the Team’s comms strategy to improve the security compliance visibility, engagement with our customers and the understanding of our processes

• Work with people from other business locations and functions to deliver a project plan to improve and mature security compliance and reporting and create a brilliant customer experience, aligned to transformation programmes eg. COMPASS

• Monitoring and reporting on security non compliances, and managing the governance around the process for this

• Assess submitted concession requests in scope of the BTSECS process offering expert, specialised advice where required and managing in alignment with the team’s current SLA

• Identifying opportunities to use data analysis to make better decisions and offer changes to improve compliance reporting

• Responsible for regular tool access audit reviews

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Project management experience for tracking and progressing business strategy, decisions and implementation of mitigations from any resultant security issues, delivering and coordinating activities and responding positively to challenges

• Comms/website updates

• Experience of working in an IT related field and of delivering governance and assurance activities in a complex business environment.

• Thorough knowledge of security policies, standards and guidelines; experience in identifying security controls and monitoring compliance against them.
