About this role

The Cyber Security Solution Architect will be responsible for the architecture and strategy of Cyber and Security for infrastructure and services, tooling and platform capabilities, aligning closely with wider BT Cyber and security policy and standards, including wider Networks and Digital. Responsible for protecting BT’s networks and infrastructure from external threats and hacking, protecting BT’s customers, reputation and brand.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Accountable for Cyber and Security Platform Strategy, solution architecture and roadmap for tooling, infrastructure protection and the respective security vectors

• Develop solution architecture roadmaps aligned with security standards and policy set by the group CISO and Global Protect

• Lead and responsible for Security solution architecture design, integration and initial implementation of solutions

• Implement technical proof of concepts that demonstrate how an architecture or design would be realized and prove out key technical concepts

• Working closely with Networks and infrastructure  Architects to ensure effective delivery of solutions.

• Developing a strong interlock with the other security functions to support transition of projects into operation with effective governance.

• Interface with program and project managers to ensure appropriate security architecture engagement as necessary.

• Keeping informed of new and updated industry frameworks and regulations: TSR, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, NIST CSF, SP 800-53, PFMI, CPMI ISOCO and FFIEC handbook, SABSA.

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, SABSA, GIAC, CCSP, CCSK or equivalent is preferred.

• Working knowledge of the following frameworks and regulations: ISO 27001/2, SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, NIST CSF, and FFIEC handbook, Cloud Security Alliance CCM.

• Knowledge of Agile.

• 5+ years security architecture expertise with broad understanding of multiple security domains.

• Knowledge of policy frameworks and understanding of policies, procedures, guideline structure.
