About IT at TfNSW
TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Officer to join our Cyber Defence Portfolio team. You will be responsible for delivering, implementing and continuosly improving cyber security services offered by Transport Cyber Defence across the Transport Cluster. You will split your time between Projects within the Cyber Defence Portfolio as required.

What you will be involved in:
Assist in delivering major cyber security projects that are part of the Cyber Defence Portfolio program of work
Assist with research, analysis, implementation and monitoring to support the continuous improvement of one or more of these cyber controls, in order to measurably reduce cyber and technology risk within agencies and across the cluster
Develop and implement tools and processes to support knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective practices amongst cyber and risk teams across the cluster.
About you
You are enthusiastic with a passion for Cyber Security. Have a curiosity to learn and keep yourself updated with new developments in cyber security and related domains. You will be a critical thinker and have Cyber Security experience working in a large, complex organisation. Formal Cyber Security training and some technical skills at a basic level would be desirable (ethical hacking, applications development, or digital systems engineering) as this is an entry level position.
Most importantly, you are a team player who is assertive and able to communicate effectively both written and verbally with a wide range of stakeholders. You will demonstrate a great work ethic, a positive can do attitude and a high attention to detail consistently producing high quality work. You can manage your work to meet deadlines and assist colleagues when required.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is a Grade 6A ($94,879) – 6E ($104,367) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
