You support project delivery, using basic technical capabilities to define, document and carry out small projects. Agreeing approach, plans and performance criteria, monitoring costs, handling issues and identifying and escalating risks to ensure project objectives are met.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects, agreeing project approach, engagement and communications plans, and quality and performance criteria with project partners.
Monitors costs, timescales and resources, assessing and recommending actions where variances from the plan occur.
Identifies and escalates risks to the success of the project, and monitors compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Facilitates effective working relationships between team members, and develops business/ customer and partner relationships, handling problems and issues and collecting and disseminating relevant information.
Ensures that own projects are formally closed, reviewing project performance to identify and recommend potential areas of improvement for future projects.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Use data analytics - You use your knowledge of data and its presentation to help colleagues make decisions. You deliver initiatives that improve data analytics in our business.
Be Agile – You use your knowledge of best practice to collaborate with peers across the business in different ways.
Compliance and risk mitigation - You make sure people follow all internal and external regulatory guidance. You provide consultative support and controls for identifying, managing and measuring risks so that we're compliant.
Issue management - You research and recommend solutions to resolve routine problems. You escalate complex or unexpected issues as needed.
Project and programme planning - You develop plans, define timeframes and identify the resources required to support routine programmes and/or projects. You define key roles and responsibilities and plan reporting measures and controls to monitor progress.
Business case management - You prepare business cases and/or proposals for the adoption (or rejection) of programmes and/or projects by identifying and analysing relevant data. You document the business case and help to identify and define the benefits and how to monitor and assess them.
Negotiation - You demonstrate a compelling rationale while explaining ideas to win support. You resolve issues and influence people considering the situation from multiple points of view.
Project stakeholder management - You apply your knowledge of formal processes and methodologies to identify all stakeholders and analyse their interests, requirements and levels of influence. You help to develop stakeholder management and communication plans to best achieve programme and/or project objectives.
You've suggested cost savings to assist budgets. (Preferred)
You've developed quotes or business cases and ways to avoid costs. (Preferred)
You've developed an internal network of strong working relationships you can call on to assist with your role. (Preferred)
You've coordinated the work of colleagues or a team to fit within a broader programme of work. (Preferred)
Member of a professional body or working towards accreditation e.g. Prince 2 or APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) (Preferred)
This role requires the ability to hold and maintain high level UK security clearances.
