About this role

One of the key pillars of BT’s strategy is the security  and the ‘safe to connect’ of the services we offer to our customers, alongside the security and protection of our infrastructure, networks and information. At the heart of this strategy is the Cyber and Security Engineering team (CSE), where we design, defend, protect and operate our cyber and security capabilities across BT’s products and services.

You'll have the following responsibilities

The Cyber Security Platform Manager will be responsible for the Cyber platform and the running of it, working with wider Cyber unit to build and deliver yearly and long-term platform roadmaps and the deployment of Cyber platform capabilities. Responsible for managing the end-of-life, end-of-sale, interfacing with vendors, working closely with solution architects and design authorities in the team to shape the roadmap and strategy for the platform development and expenditure, aligning with wider BT policies and standards. Platform manager is also responsible for managing and running RCAs and PIRs for in life issues and resolution working very closely with Cyber and Security operations. 

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Experience of platform management and delivery with a broad understanding IT and network services

• Ability to collaborate effectively with others to drive forward key security objectives

• Strong communication skills including presentation and documentation writing (to both technical and business audiences)

• An aptitude for autonomous learning as required by the demands of the business

• Proven problem-solving abilities

• Assertiveness, and the ability to drive through change

• Excellent team working skills including the ability to work effectively within a geographically disparate team

• Experience working within an IT support environment, particularly dealing with incident handling and change management.
