Overview:

Supply Chain / Channel Operations - Delivers products and services to partners and consumers to maximize business value and in addition provide aftersales returns and care supportability. Channel Operations collaborates with Microsoft channel partners to understand and deliver to service level expectations whilst optimizing inventory levels that enable business groups to meet or exceed revenue goals. In addition, the Channel team understand and bring customer and demand insights to Microsoft Supply Chain organization at a country / account level.

The Channel Operations Manager is a pivotal role connecting Microsoft's supply chain with field teams and customers. Supporting a dedicated geography this individual has the remit of working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business targets and high standards of customer satisfaction.

The candidate will be a problem solver and be resourceful, creative, and willing to work with and through others to be successful.  Collaboration is a critical skill in this role.  Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical thinking are necessary for driving a high level of impact and influence across both internal and external key stakeholders.   

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Partners with account team on demand sensing and forecast methodologies relevant for the market and ensures that sales organization is enticing partners to place orders to drive sell-in. Supports Sales and Marketing organizations to drive sell-through and ensures focus on channel inventory and optimization.
  • Overall responsibility of the performance of supply chain services within defined geography. Ensures that partners and customers are operationally aligned by supporting business reviews, considers challenges experienced by partners, and drives joint initiatives through sharing best practices to create new efficiencies in partnerships that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Leverage & hold accountable managed services to provide seamless operational performance of demand fulfillment activities including order book management, providing supply visibility of demand & availability between accounts, ensuring allocation execution and delivery of goods.
  • Actively seek and create opportunities for synergies across different internal stakeholders, leads engagement on improvement initiatives focusing on cost saving, return on investment, Cost to serve, key metrics (KPIS) and operational scorecard.
  • Ensure that Microsoft is flawlessly managing customer expectations thru the successful delivery & adoption of new capabilities within the International Supply Chain team.
  • Apply continuous improvement approach to ensure processes, tools, systems, and technologies remain up to date and meet ever changing requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in customer facing supply chain roles including customer relationship, sales & operations and post-sales aftercare experience.
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • Fluent verbal and written French (preferably native)
  • Experience in driving improvement and optimization initiatives across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in delivering system & process improvements across the Order to Cash process
  • Retail Environment exposure
  • Customer/Partner and Subsidiary sales interface experience.
  • MBA is a plus
