Based in Blenheim, Vet Marlborough is a dedicated veterinary practice specialising in companion and production animal care.

Purpose built in 1998, Vet Marlborough is a member of the New Zealand Veterinary Association’s BESTPRACTICE® accreditation programme, which means the centre is designed to offer the highest standards of comfort, care and treatment, ensuring quality service for clients, their pets and their livestock.

The job:

Reporting to the Practice and Administration Manager, this pivotal position is the first point of contact with clients and walk-in visitors to the practice. The role has a major part to play in coordinating services, prioritizing workflows and managing client expectations. Key will be the ability to provide exceptional reception services, various finance tasks, good office management administration and a robust understanding of veterinary clinical applications.

The ideal candidate:

Joining a wider team, you will be an energetic and motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships. Ideally, you will have a customer services, administration, or reception background. Working autonomously will be second nature to you.

A growth mindset with openness to change and self improvement is a must along with strong attention to detail. You will have robust systems experience - ideally with MS Office.  Additionally, you will be a natural communicator, a team player, and able to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. 

Finally, you will have a natural love for animals and a caring and compassionate nature.
