Skills needed to be a Customer Service Representative
We are looking for the following skills and attributes:
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail
- Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Customer Service experience
- Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
- PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
- A good consistent typing speed
- Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
- Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment
Job Overview
- Start Date: 06/12/21
- Salary: £18,525 per annum
- Location: Work from home and Glasgow office based roles available
- Site: Glasgow City Park for those wanting office based role. Work from home also available
- Shifts: Full time 37.5 hours. Current hours Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm, full flexibility required until 8pm weekdays and Saturdays 9am-1pm to cover potential extension of hours.
- Training Duration: 2 weeks, full attendance required
- Contract: Permanent
Day to day responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative
- This is a varied role taking inbound calls, corresponding via social media and email for a Financial Services campaign and providing a professional, efficient, courteous, empathetic and accurate journey for customers
- Demonstrate a high level of World Class Service in a fast paced environment.
- Taking ownership of resolving Customers queries and concerns at first point of contact to prevent escalations and ensure customer retention
- Responsible for regularly updating own knowledge on FSA regulations, company products, processes and procedures in order to provide the best, accurate customer information at all times and fulfil our regulatory requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate records to ensure continuity of service for the customer
- Desire to work collaboratively to build close professional relationships and support the needs of our customers (members, brokers and business partners)
