Skills needed to be a Customer Service Representative
We are looking for the following skills and attributes:
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail
- Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Customer Service experience
- Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
- PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
- A good consistent typing speed
- Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
- Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment
Job Overview
- Start Date: Variety of start dates throughout November & December
- Salary: £18,525 per annum (£9.50 per hour)
- Location: Manchester
- Site: Manchester - office based at our site conveniently located next to Victoria Station. On successful completion of training, successful candidates will be given the option to work from home if preferred
- Shifts: Full time 37.5 hours per week, full flexibility required Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and every other Saturday 8am - 2pm.
- Training Duration: 10 weeks, delivered on site and full attendance required

Teleperformance are currently recruiting for Customer Service Representatives to deliver first contact resolution and act as a brand ambassador at all times to the customers of a leading energy supplier with an exceptional reputation in their industry.
Day to day responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative
- You will play a pivotal role in retaining and building upon our existing customer base, taking ownership for customer enquiries and using initiative to provide an exceptional resolution at first point of contact
- Form emotional connections with customers in order to understand their individual needs and handle objections to promote relevant products and services
- Working in a fast paced targeted environment you will strive to contribute to the team performance whilst seeking to exceed individual objectives
- Adhere to the leading energy supplier’s policies, procedures and employee rules at all times.
- Ensure that company, regulatory, compliance and data protection regulations are adhered to at all times
- With an hour of rest time (made up of 30 minutes for lunch and 2 x 15 minute breaks) you will always have time to catch up with friends, get something to eat in the town centre, or perhaps grab some fresh air and go for a walk.
