About the role

Based at South Island’s second-largest mall, Customer Service Representatives at Northlands are our brand ambassadors. This is a customer service role with a difference, and as you grow into the role, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills in areas such as event management, assisting with relationship management with the retailers at the shopping centre, etc. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Welcome and assist all customers, providing the highest quality shopping experience.
  • Perform the centre's list of services
  • Ensure car park services, processes and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with promotions and events.
  • Liaise with cleaning, security and other contractors, as well as centre management teams to maintain centre standards.

Experience and skills

Proven experience in a customer facing service position, ideally in retail or hospitality, is essential.

You will also need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be motivated and energetic. 

Your passion for offering an amazing service with a friendly and positive attitude that exceeds customer expectations - either in person, on the phone or online- will be infectious. 

Being a Brand Ambassador within the shopping centre and local community you will proactively promote the centre’s services, amenities and events and look for ways to continuously improve the experience of visitors and tenants at the centre

You will have a natural the ability to work well within a fast paced and energetic team environment.

Being able to multitask and be completely unflappable is invaluable in this role when no two days will be the same.

Excellent computer and administration skills to support our Centre Management team with tasks as needed will be advantageous, along with the ability to cover shifts as required.

The hours of work will be at least 12 hours a week, with the option to pick up other shifts on an as-needed basis.

The specific shifts available are:

Thursdays:            5:15pm to 9:15pm

Sundays:              9:45am to 6:15pm
