Skills needed to be a Customer Service Representative
We are looking for the following skills and attributes:
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail
- Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Customer Service experience
- Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
- PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
- A good consistent typing speed
- Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
- Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment
Job Overview
- Start Date: 04/01/2021
- Salary: £22'651.20 Per Annum - £10.89 per hour
- Location: Glasgow Office Based for training and nesting, then work from home
- Site: Glasgow City Centre, Cuprum House for training and nesting, then work from home
- Shifts: Full Time 40 hours working 5/7 days, Monday to Friday 0800-1800 for first three months then operational hours 0800-2200 Monday to Friday, 0830-1800 Saturday, 0900-1800 Sunday
- Training: 22 Days - On-site training, full attendance required
- Contract: Permanent
- Probity: DBS and Credit Check. Cost covered by employer

Day to day responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative
- Inbound Customer service dealing with customers who have questions about their travel policies, updating medical screening questionnaires etc
- Resolve enquiries with speed and precision and delight customers by providing timely, accurate and expert advice
- Deliver a service where patience, empathy and building rapport are central
- Record, track, and effectively resolve incidents and queries and strive to achieve first call resolution
- Manage databases, tools, applications and operating systems and create clear notes on customers’ accounts with relevant details
- Comply with the company’s policies and practices
- Update your knowledge through the associated guidelines and procedures
