The importance of your role.

Boots has a strong and trusted heritage in supporting the healthcare of the nation and we’re looking to recruit in-store Covid Testers to help to continue the great work that’s already been done during these unprecedented times.

Your role will predominantly involve PCR testing for essential workers and members of the public. Full training will be provided and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied in line with NHS standards. You will also provide supervision of those who are self-administering Covid tests, providing support and guidance where needed.

Alongside side PCR testing you may also be asked to support in other areas of the store. This includes assisting our customers and what they’re looking for; from helping them find the perfect product, working deliveries and stocking the shelves, to getting behind our in-store promotions.

What you’ll be doing day to day.

Confidently perform throat and nasal swab testing procedure in line with current clinical standards, while adhering to hygiene, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and NHS standards.

Efficiently delivers the daily tasks and testing plan, including; packing up samples, stock management, completing testing administration and procedures in line with expectations.

Provide a great environment for our customers ensuring our stores are clean, tidy and presentable and provide a store we can be really proud of.

Put our customers at ease. You’ll get to know our fantastic products, recommending items that they hadn’t considered. You’re really personable approach will keep our customers coming back.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for really great people, with a friendly personality. It’s all about working together as one great team – after all it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. So you’ll need to be flexible and adaptable meeting patient needs when Covid testing and providing a great service to our customers when picking up additional duties.

It would be great if you had experience of dealing with patients and/or customers. But it isn’t just about experience, it’s personality that really counts, we’re interested in seeing a bit more, the real you – and that makes us all feel good.
