An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead our CT unit in Springfield Hospitals busy Radiology Department.

You will be expected to work on a full-time basis 37.5 on a flexible departmental rota including weekends if required. 

Springfield Hospital opened in 1987 and is one of Essex’s leading private hospitals. It is a 64 bedded hospital all with ensuite facilities, with parent and child rooms, a 14 bed Day unit and a high dependency unit.  

The Role

To work with Radiology Manager and other modalities leads in ensuring that the highest standard of patient care and service can be delivered safely and efficiently across all modalities.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of your own practice.

• Be responsible of training new members of staff and completing all competencies.

• PDR for CT Radiographers.

• Maintain a work environment that you are proud of, where all radiographers work as part of the team and contribute to patient satisfaction and experience.

• Organise and liaise with new and current contract health provider organisations

• Flexible approach to working hours including weekends and long days.

• Management of the CT Rota

• Responsible for organising and maintaining all equipment service

• Responsible for the yearly reviews of Protocols, DRL's, Risks Assessments and SOPs

What you will bring with you:

• BSc Radiography

• HCPC registered

• Minimum of 7 Years’ experience

• Sound knowledge of IRMER, IRR, HCPC Standards, local rules

• Knowledge of CQC standards

• Cannulation certificate

• Competent using PACS and IEP

• ILS

• Excellent Communication and Leadership skills
