Join EDF in this new, Creative Art Director role, where you will have the opportunity to take our creative to the next level. You will set the creative direction that gives our brand more cut through & more consistency and over time, create a best in class in-house creative team capable of delivering design excellence.
The marketing team exists to deliver greater customer value and create an instantly recognisable, genuinely memorable brand. The mission of brand is to improve how valued our brand is by customers, colleagues and stakeholders: creating a clear UK brand strategy for EDF, centred on our purpose (Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero), and delivering consistent, cut through communications and digital experiences at all touchpoints to improve brand reputation.
You will work across all divisions of EDF in the UK and will be responsible for building a brand that is consistent to maximise the effectiveness of all creative work and add value of the brand. Your three main priorities will be to maximise efficiencies – cost & time, Build Consistency – brand integrity and Excellence – quality.

You will lead and implement creative design work across all touchpoints, working to produce best in class creative. You will also take the lead in providing the creative challenge we need to take our brand to the next level.
As a role model in the team you will have the opportunity to manage and inspire one Designer who will be supporting you. Whilst providing direction on copy and tone of voice to our in-house Copywriter, as well as working collaboratively and constructively with agencies where appropriate.
On a day to day basis you will work with internal customers from all areas of the business, this could be regulatory comms, brand campaigns or even the proposition team, receiving briefs to help them create outstanding communications. You will schedule and set appropriate SLA’s, designing work following the brand principles and taking on overall responsibility of the look and feel of all communications including evolution and engagement across the business.
You will also take on a key role of improving and developing our brand as well as overall responsibility for approving creative, which is developed through agencies, other departments and providing guidance.
