Job Description

We are partnering with Ministry of Justice to find administrators who want to be part of their results-focussed and friendly team. This is initially a 4-month temporary role, but there may be potential for long-term opportunities after, playing an important support function in the operations of this essential public service.

The role

The Court Registry Support Officer role plays an important support role in the operation of a court. You will provide support to the Registry Officers and assist in the delivery of services across a range of registry administration functions including preparation and management of court related documents, handling incoming and outgoing communications, and maintaining Courtrooms and registry supplies.

A typical day for you may include:

  • Preparing the Courtroom to ensure it is tidy and appropriately equipped

Greeting and directing persons within the Court buildings * Ensuring timely preparation and delivery of required documents and registry supplies

  • Answering incoming enquires and directing to the relevant person where appropriate
  • Ensuring proper Health and Safety protocols are being always adhered to
  • Working to meet tight deadlines and Court timeframes

Details of the role:

  • Based in Christchurch Central
  • $24 per hour and 8% holiday pay
  • Starting ASAP, ideally by 28th February, until 30th June 2022.
  • 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

You will predominantly be working standard business hours, but some flexibility for the occasional earlier start or later finish may be required to complete the necessary work.
